MEGA Series
Distribution assemblies for construction site

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

MEGA Series assemblies are supported on a strong metal frame with protective roof and are designed for power distribution on construction sites with connected loads in the range of 90 KW to 370 KW.

VERSIONS

This series comes in three sizes (WxHxD)

• 1210 x 1600 x 780mm
• 1520 x 1800 x 850mm
• 1800 x 1800 x 850mm
  self-supporting stand.

Provision for up to 12 ADVANCE Series and QUADRA Series industrial interlocked-switch sockets outlets, rated currents in the range of 16A to 400A in conformity with IEC 309-1 and IEC 309-2 standards.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

• Junction boxes made of a thermoplastic material, designed to house the main terminal block.
• Consumer units for the installation of protective devices (MCB and RCD)
• General protection by means of circuit breaker or disconnecting switch that can be padlocked.
• Protection degree: IP55
• Conformity with: EN60439-1 e EN60439-4

APPLICATION

Specifically designed for large construction sites, MEGA Series distribution assemblies are also suitable for use in heavy industry, agriculture and wherever else high resistance to impact, weathering and chemical agents is essential

CONSTRUCTION CHARACTERISTICS

• Painted and stoved steel frame with a fixature for crane hoisting and one for transport by fork lift truck, with lateral carrier handles and roof to shelter it from the rain or falling objects.
  The stand may be fixed to the ground.
• The cables can be hung from appropriate hooks on the rear during transport.
• Junction box made of thermoplastic polyester capable of withstanding temperatures between -40°C and 120°C, accidental impact and corrosive or saline agents.
• Enclosures for the protective devices fitted with cover and key locks.
• Main power supply circuit through copper busbars dim. 20x10mm or 30x10mm
• Supply cable inlet/outlet from below, through appropriate cable glands.
• Main terminal block for incoming/outgoing wires connection.
• Main circuit breaker or disconnecting switch that can be padlocked with minimum voltage safety relase.
• Separate earthing via appropriate terminal of the metal structure and of the circuit.
• Status lamp which goes on when the assembly is powered.
• Provision for safety extra-low voltage (SELV) supply of appliances through an isolating transformer.
• Provision for outlet through terminal block with thermomagnetic protection.
