Light fittings - Bulkhead light 100W

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Attractive, strong, with a high level of protection against weter and dust, the bulkhead ligts of the HYDRA Series are especially suitable for outdoor installations, both on walls and ceilings in domestic, industrial and commercial environnements.

The various combinations that are available will satisfy most installation requirements. They look good and have a particulary well thought-out design.

The HYDRA Series is made up of 3 types of bulkhead light, defined by their geometrical shape;:

REFERENCE STANDARDS

The HYDRA Series conforms to:

• CEI 34-21 - EN 60598-1 - IEC 598-1
• CEI 34-23 - EN 60598-2-1 - IEC 598-2-1
• CEI 34-22 - EN 60598-2-22 - IEC 598-2-22

and has received ENEC certification from IMQ.
The ENEC mark (European Norms Electrical Certification) allows light fittings to be marketed freely throughout Europe and certifies that the products conform to EN standards.

HYDRA Series TONDA type- E27 - 100W Depicts the supply cable inlet through cable gland PG 13.5, the knock-out draining hole, the IP 65 holding seal set in its groove and the aluminium parabolic reflector.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

• Diffuser in transparent polycarbonate, internally glazed (anti-glare), UV. stabilised (anti-yellowing).
• Polycarbonate base, RAL7035 gray.
• Optional white or black frame which completely hides the base and modifies its external appearance (particulary good for installations with flush mounting conduit).
• Alluminium parabolic reflector (for incandescent bulds)
• Stainless steel screws
• Supply: 250V~
• Proterction degree: IP44 or IP65

STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS

• Surface or ceiling mounting with 2 screws (supplied in an accessories kit with screws, fixing plugs, washers and seals)
• Cable inlets for conduit are placed on the upper and lower sides, allowing for "entry-exit"; power supply. Each inlet can take:
  • cable sleeves for conduit up to ø16mm,
  • cable glands PG13,5,
  • rigid conduit-box coupling connection ø16mm,
  • flexible conduit-box coupling connection ø12mm
    
• A rear entry cable inlet is possible for installations with flush mounting conduit:
  • cable sleeve for conduit up to ø16mm
  • cable gland PG
    
• Double insulation CLASSE II
• Knock-out draining holes
• Suitable for installation on flammable surfaces . The fitting guarantees that if something goes wrong with the power supply the temperature on the surface of the installation does not reach dangerous levels.
• ROUND version is available for EMERGENCY
• Versions fluorescent/emergency have a reactor with low loss ballast

SECURITY LIGHTING

Guarantees a minimum level of lighting, allowing the evacuation of the premises in the event of the main power supply being cut off.

HYDRA Series in EMERGENCY version

The HYDRA Series bulkhead lights for "emergency" are usually installed in sites with autonomous elements, battery and invertor, are inside the light.

The HYDRA Series bulkhead lights for "emergency" are usually powered from the mains supply but when working in an emergency situation are battery-powered. The transition from normal functioning mode to emergency mode is instantaneous.

To guarantee optimal duration and efficiency of the battery, we reccommend that every six months it is completely discharged and recharged.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE EMERGENCY CIRCUIT

• Nickel-cadmium battery, high temperature, hermetic type. Requires no maintenance, extremely reliable, can be discharged and recharged many times, has a long life in stand-by mode and can work at very high temperatures
• Signal for recharging: Red indicator led
• Emergency lighting at a reduced operating level
• Constant flux in emergency mode
• Battery duration: one hour
• 230V~ supply at terminal block (supplied)
• With provision for an interdiction circuit

SINGLE INHIBITION

If there is a loss of mains supply voltage, it turns on or turns off the light in emergency mode.

The turning on and off function works through a ON/OFF switch at central zero (turn on with the positive impulse at pole 3 of the inveryer and turn off with the negative impulse also at pole 3).

The inhibition can be carried out for up to 10 lights at the same time with a 9V battery.

Upstream from the L2 supply terminal a switch with either automatic reclosing or a key type must be installed to verify the break-down in the mains supply.

NOTE

• Change the battery when it can no longer guarantee emergency functioning of one hour
• Light flux in emergency mode: 50 lumen.
