CONFORMITY TO STANDARD
SCAME’s products have been designed to meet
the latest international (IEC), European or
Italian (CEI) standards.
European standards are distinguished by the
code EN or HD and are considered such when
they are written up by CENELEC.
In each of the countries that belong to
CENELEC there are one or more institutions in
charge of testing the products for compliance
with the relevant standards: IMQ in Italy, VDE in
Germany, BSI in the United Kingdom etc.
These institutions issue test certificates and
authorise the use of their respective quality
marks with the symbols of the issuers:
As a rule, SCAME submits its products to IMQ
(Istituto Italiano dei Marchio di Qualità) for approval.
CENELEC’s memorandum no. 13 established mutual recognition and parity between the different national institutions in order to promote the exchange of information to simplify the work of the institutions and facilitate cooperation between them.
This means that within the framework of the European standard EN, the mark issued by the Italian institution is exactly equivalent to those of the German, British, Swedish institutions, etc., and vice-versa.
Thanks to this procedure, our products manufactured to European standard EN and carrying the IMQ mark are recognised as safe and meeting the standards of all CENELEC countries, even though they do not carry other marks.
